Breaking Barriers

Breaking Barriers is an initiative developed by the Movimiento Visibles Corporation, with the support of the PazDiversa Project of the German Development Cooperation (GIZ).
Born in the territories of Norte de Santander, Caquetá, and Meta, this initiative combines pedagogical, technical, and artistic tools to strengthen public and community leadership through empathy, diversity, and a culture of peace.

Its purpose is to enhance the ethical, strategic, and communicative skills of public servants, incorporating the principles of reconciliation, coexistence, tolerance, and non-stigmatization defined in measures BG3 and BG4 of the Final Peace Agreement.

Breaking Barriers brings together two complementary dimensions:
on one hand, the Toolkit, which provides methodological guides to transform public management with a focus on equity and inclusion; and on the other, the cultural devices, artistic and participatory expressions that highlight diversity, memory, and the ability to reconcile from everyday life.

More than a project, Breaking Barriers is a living experience of institutional and territorial transformation that connects art, pedagogy, and public management in service of gender equality, peace, and social cohesion.
